HS Softball Playoffs: Spring Forces Game 3 with a 5th Inning Rally

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Spring traveled to The Woodlands after a tough loss on their home field. They hope to extend the series to a game 3 battle Saturday afternoon.

Spring shot off to a quick lead by the 3rd inning. The Woodlands pitcher struggled as she gave up a double - 2 run RBI as well as walking a batter. The Woodlands was able to close out the top of the third inning with little damage to the scoreboard.

They heated up on the bottom of the third as they hit a huge double with runners on base. This gave them the lead for the first time all game. With a couple more hits but no capitalizing, Spring was able to retire The Woodlands and put out their fire.

The top of the fifth was a game changer for Spring. They were able to rally up 3 more runs and take the lead back from The Woodlands. They held on strong for the remainder of the game only giving up a couple of runs but retiring the batters one by one.

After 7 long battled innings, Spring tales the victory and forces a game 3 to determine who moves on to the Area Round.

Final score, The Woodlands 5, Spring 7.
