THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On Saturday, October 29, 2022, The Woodlands Children’s Museum will host its annual SpookTacular event, featuring children’s carnival type games and activities, Halloween-themed art projects, musical performances, and magic shows. This fa-BOO-lous event is a perfect opportunity for children 7 and under to dress up in their favorite costume while sharing in holiday fun in a non-spooky, daytime environment.

“This is one of our favorite events. We love seeing families dress up together, play together, and enjoy live musical performances and magic shows,” stated Angela Colton, the museum’s Executive Director. “The museum is transformed for this one day only, with bewitching games and activities that are specifically curated for young children.”

On the museum’s performance stage at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm, guests can enjoy the live music of Mr. Will, an Austin-based singer/songwriter with over two decades of experience entertaining children with lively, toe-tapping, sing-a-long music. Also on stage, families can enjoy the spellbinding charm of Monty the Magician during his magic shows at 10:45am, 11:45am, and 12:45pm. Professor Hughdini will also perform his spellbinding magic at 2:00pm, 3:00pm, and 4:00pm. A SpookTacular Storytime will also take place at 11:15am, 12:15pm, and 1:15pm.

Favorite games such as ring-a-pumpkin, ghost bowling, bobbing for marshmallows, mummy wrap, and many more will be available throughout the day. At The Muse Art Bar, children will be able to squish, mix, and create monster science slime. Sensory bins and boxes will also have touch-and-feel surprises such as slimy “worms,” squishy “eye balls,” and slivered “finger nails.”

The museum will be open from 10:00am – 5:00pm for the event and admission is $10 for everyone over the age of one. Advance tickets are recommended and are available online at https://woodlandschildrensmuseum.org/event-tickets/. Capacity will be limited and guests without advance tickets will be accommodated if space allows. Please note that the museum will be closing at 12:00pm on FRIDAY, October 28, 2022 to set up for the SpookTacular event.

This event is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, Texas Commission on the Arts, and The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
