THE WOODLANDS, TX – Dr. Maria A. Holmes has filed for election to The Woodlands Township Board of Directors, Position 6. The former associate dean of Honors College at Sam Houston State University has lived in The Woodlands for 10 years.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to continue the outstanding leadership provided by Dr. Ann Snyder. I am humbled and grateful for the encouragement given by Snyder and other community leaders for me to run for this important office,” said Holmes.
Her involvement in The Woodlands community encompasses many years of service and community engagement, including board memberships and leadership roles in various charitable organizations.
