WEATHER - The rest of today: storm, sun, and a sliver of moon

We're about to get hit with some significant storms -- nothing near approaching flood levels, but still about an inch to be dropped in only a couple of hours. In fact, the National Weather Service has just this moment issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning from now until later this afternoon for southeastern Montgomery County, with hail possibly hitting just to the east of us.
Around 4 o'clock this afternoon, the skies should clear up, but we'll effectively be surrounded by additional storming, so there might be some more wet stuff hitting the roads come quitting time.
As evening progresses, the winds will calm and the air will dry, but near-total cloud cover will blot out our waxing crescent moon. Overnight, you can expect skies to clear up for a moderate and outdoor-friendly weekend.
