Vaughan's RBI lifts Cavaliers past Atascocita
ATASCOCITA, Texas - Noah Vaughn’s RBI-single in the top of the ninth inning scored Austin Stokes, and giving the College Park Cavaliers a 5-4 district win at Atascocita Tuesday night.
College Park (12-1, 1-0) got great hitting out of the top of the lineup as Nate Fisbeck, Noah Vaughan, and Colin Cameron combined to go 6-for-14 at the plate with 5-RBI’s.
The Cavaliers trailed briefly in the game at 2-1 in the bottom of the second, however responded in the top of the third inning when Cameron’s single to center field scored Stokes to tie the game at 2-2.
College Park also got solid contributions from Roosevelt Henderson, who went 3-for-4 with a walk, and Austin Stokes, who went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
College Park has won their last 11 consecutive games, including a 10-0 record in the month of March.
The Cavaliers will have a bye on Friday and return to district action on Tuesday, March, 24, at 7pm when they host The Woodlands.
