MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX - The 2020/2021 school year has been a unique, trying experience for students and teachers across the country, requiring both to adapt to new ways of learning. Incarcerated students in Montgomery County Jail not only needed to adapt to virtual learning but did so without a traditional support system. The Montgomery County Sheriffs Office is proud to announce the graduation of two individuals detained in the jail. Despite their current legal situation, these adult students were able to persevere, complete their high school education requirements, and earn diplomas.

The Montgomery County Sheriffs Office would like to personally thank the Conroe Independent School District for their continued support to the incarcerated student population and the Aldine Independent School District for allowing this wonderful opportunity. This program would not be possible without the support of teachers, counselors, coaches, principals, and detention staff that believe in the students' capacity to succeed.
