WEATHER ALERT - NWS warns possible flooding for SE MoCo and tropical storm warning for Conroe

The National Weather Service forecast for Montgomery County, indicates a chance of showers today with increased rain chances tonight and Saturday. A tropical storm warning has been issued for Conroe and Montgomery, indicating a threat of tropical storm-force winds within the next 36 hours. The risk of excessive rainfall, potentially leading to flash flooding, is also present. 

Here's a more detailed breakdown: Today, showers are likely, with a chance of showers lingering into tonight. Overnight there is a slight chance of showers and possibly thunderstorms. On Saturday, showers are likely, and the risk of excessive rainfall is elevated. There should be a lull in the storms Saturday night under partly cloudy skies, but on Sunday there is a chance of thunderstorms. Again, overnight into Monday there should only be partly cloudy conditions. Friday and Saturday should both experience high temperatures in the upper 80s, and on Sunday the thermometer will creep just above the 90-degree mark.

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Conroe and Montgomery, indicating the potential for tropical storm-force winds. There is a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 4) for excessive rainfall, which could lead to flash flooding, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone areas in southeastern Montgomery County.
