CONROE, Texas---The Caney Creek Panthers are set to take on Kingwood Park Panthers in a home game at Moorhead stadium this Thursday night.

Caney Creek is still in search of their first district win. Despite their 0-5 record, the Panthers have proven to be a very competitive team with a lot of talent.

Their offense, while inconsistent, has also been explosive at times. Quarterback Julian Hernandez leads the passing attack while running back Gabe Garcia punishes teams with his hard nose running in the ground attack.

Kingwood Park sits just above Caney Creek on the leader board with a district record of 1-3. Looking to turn the corner after their bye week, Kingwood Park enters the game well-rested and hungry for a win.

Quarterback Daniel Bresko will lead the Panthers offense. With good accuracy and a dangerous deep ball, Bresko opens up a lot of possibilities for his offense.

One of Bresko’s favorite targets, wide receiver Tylan Johnson, has proven to be a consistent deep threat for his quarterback.

The Panther’s also like to use Johnson out of the backfield on reverses and jet sweeps.

This game is lining up to be a shoot-out between two high powered offenses. However, neither team is lacking in defensive talent. Caney Creek defensive ends #54 Marcus Garza and #55 Alsip David have both been dominant on their sides of the ball.

Expect these two to apply pressure on Bresko and disrupt the Kingwood Park offense.Outside linebacker #44 Brett Jones will lead the Kingwood Park on the defensive side of the ball. Jones is a good tackler and plays with a lot of energy on each down. He will play a big part in their effort to shut down the Caney Creek rushing attack.

Kick-off is this Thursday night 7:00 p.m at Moorhead Stadium. Join us here at Woodlands Online as this is a live broadcast. This game will be presented by Mr. Rooter plumbing, and Replays are sponsored by Hal Watson Air Conditioning Company.
