HS Football: College Park Shows Strength on Offense against Caney Creek

CONROE, TX -- The Caney Creek Panthers hosted the College Park Cavaliers on Friday night at Moorhead Stadium in Conroe. College Park is coming off a huge win over Cleveland while Caney Creek looks to get their second win in district play.

College Park came out swinging and managed to get ahead of Caney Creek early in the game. Just like the Cleveland game, College Park used their offense to get points on the board. By halftime College Park lead 35-0 forcing Caney Creek to answer back in the second half.

Caney Creek struggled on offense but was able to find a weak spot in College Park’s defense and get points on the board. The Cavaliers were to find the endzone as well by cutting through the Panther’s defense. This would make it 42-7 going into the fourth and final quarter.

College Park would score one more touchdown and kick a long field goal to solidify their victory. All they needed to do was run down the clock. Caney Creek was able to sneak one last touchdown in before the time expired but fell short 52-14.

Next week College Park will take on the strong Willis team while Caney Creek takes their bye week to get ready for The Woodlands.
