THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Oak Ridge Lady War Eagles hosted the College Park Lady Cavaliers Tuesday as part of Senior Night at the High School.

With two on base in the second inning, Savanna Conway (#20, Oak Ridge) drives a triple in the outfield scoring one and giving the War Eagles the lead. The next batter, pitcher Arriana Wright (#22, College Park), sent one a little too high over the catcher and the War Eagles capitalized on this error.

The next inning was more of the same. Wright (#22, College Park), had difficulty controlling high pitches and many went over the head of the catcher. With bases loaded, Oak Ridge walked in one and two more from errors.

With one final rally, College Park saw themselves with bases juiced and their power hitter coming up to the plate. Once again Arriana Wright (#22, College Park) hit the field and send an absolute nuke out of the park. The Cavaliers late rally was unfortunately not enough to topple the early lead from Oak Ridge.

Final score 7-5, which creates a four-way tie in the district standings. With one game left, this creates an interesting scenario to see who will advance to the playoffs.

THE WOODLANDS LADY HIGHLANDERS

The Lady Highlanders take another victory to put them in a four-way tie in the district standing. This win follows a loss from the district leaders, Grand Oaks and puts them in range for a playoff spot. Final score 3-1 on Senior night at The Woodlands.

WILLIS WILDKATS

Willis girls take a much needed victory over the strong Grand Oaks Grizzlies. This victory comes after a loss from Oak Ridge who put them in the bottom of the standings. Willis turned things around Tuesday night to create a four-way tie with College Park, The Woodlands, and Oak Ridge. The final game on Friday night might be interesting as these teams have been on fire in the later part of the season.
